Volunteers wrapped gifts
for Mall shoppers during the 2009 Holiday season.
Student and Instructor art was on display and there was always a volunteer available to answer questions about CRVA activities and classes. And, it was a fun and festive time for all involved. |

Metal Sculpture by John
Brommel, Des Moines metal artist that has taught workshops at CRVA.
This stainless "Ballerina" stands 7' x 30" x 18" and is an excellent example of what he does with recycled materials from junk yards, scrap yards, throw-aways, etc. Like all of Brommel's art, this stainless steel ballerina was created with recycled materials and features a buffed finish. It was created for a private commission. The steel dress has a 3-color metallic fade paint application. Comprised of over 400 separate steel pieces, the sculpture was then welded together and buffed for a smooth, seamless finish. |
