I would like also to thank all the close support from our wonderful friend and one who tries to understand us here at the school, Amelia Painter. We are a bunch of characters and she is the best who puts up with us. Thank you Amelia. John Feldhacker; alias Johnny Siepa is one fine sculptor and friend. Thank you John for keeping the ball rolling through the difficult times. Steve Booth, our jeweler is a "brother", closer than my own. Thank you Steve for being there to take me away from my schedule when I need the diversion. You know your stuff, and believe me, we don't need a "lottery" to keep this place running with all the wonderful people who are involved. My son, Jon, and Alec, a wayward sort, are good kids and keep it interesting. Thank you two for the "lifting" and toleration of an old man. Tony

Belief in one's self is the primary directive of any artisan's life. Creativity is our economic salvation in our country as the age of technology makes it easier for us to communicate. When a community supports it's working artisans; the ones who sell their work to make a living, it is true testimony of it's support. Tax incentives for working artisans are a must in our time to stimulate growth and direction of the arts and it's creative individuals. We cannot keep "burning the books" of artistic motives by decreasing educational programs of the arts in schools to balance the budget. The arts should be the last programs cut in an educational budget, allowing those individuals who "fall through the cracks" in our society to prosper and maintain a job through an artistic format. Creativity is the currency of our generation. Thanks, Louis A. (Tony) Curiel, Director, CRVA
